We were delighted to see James Brown, CEO of Lapwing, take part in a panel discussion on climate investment at the first London Impact Investment Network (LIIN) event of 2025. The event brought together investors, innovators, and sustainability leaders to explore the opportunities and challenges of financing the climate transition. James joined fellow panellists Mo Safdar, and Tripurari Prasad and chair Alex Miller for a lively and insightful conversation around scalable climate solutions and the role of land-use innovation in delivering long-term carbon removal. He shared Lapwing’s journey developing the Reverse Coal project—a nature-based, technology-enabled approach to peatland restoration and biochar sequestration. It was fantastic to see so many familiar and new faces from across the climate investment space. Many thanks to the organisers and panellists for a thought-provoking evening, and for spotlighting the importance of agriculture and innovation in achieving net zero.
